Accessibility at Albion House
Entrance to the building
The main entrance is located at the front/side of the house. There are orange Townley's signs on the outside of the building. There are four steps up to the hotel, it then slopes off to one side. There is space for a wheelchair to fit.
Toilet Facilities
We have an accessible bathroom, which is on same level as ground floor, this is fitted with an alarm call system. Our other toilets are located on the ground floor with one step leading up to them.
Bedrooms
We have one accessible room on the lower ground floor, which is reached via a lift. This room has a large wet room and has been fitted with an alarm call system. Additionally there are flashing xenon beacons which alert those hard of hearing when the fire alarm goes off. There is also the ability for us to accommodate carers as well as other equipment which assist guests getting in and out of bed or being manoeuvred into a wheelchair.
In case of emergency there is a delivery door from the basement area and we would ensure 2 staff members would lift you out to the meeting point.
Basement
The area has one step leading to the store rooms. From the lift to the bedroom it is all on one level.
Bar
This is off the main reception area and has no steps.
Georgian Rooms
This is to the left of reception as you look at it and has no steps. One slight lip as you go over entrance way and a slight raised walkway that splits the two rooms.
